History - While in recent years Robotic mowers have gained in popularity, Husqvarna has recently celebrated their 25th anniversary of the revolutionary Automower®. Fast-forward to 2019, they reached the two million milestone mark in the manufacturing of robotic mowers. You can purchase with confidence from a well-established company that knows the product.

Wire-free installation - The Automower® NERA range coupled with the Husqvarna EPOS™ offers customisable lawn maintenance through creating virtual boundaries through satellite based technology, instead of physical wires.

Automower® Zone Control - Feature which allows you to easily create work areas with different setting and temporary stay-out zones. You have more control over the lawn to apply different schedules and cutting heights to each area or prevent the robotic mower from mowing at all in some areas.

Object detection and avoidance - A built-in radar assists the mower to detect and avoid objects reducing the risk to unplanned stops and a faster overall ground speed meaning more ground is covered. The detections mode reduces the speed to soften collisions and the avoidance mode makes the mower turn away to avoid impact.

Automower® Connect - Download the app to your smartphone to easily send start, stop, park commands and check or adjust settings. It will also show the user relevant information about the mower along with helpful tips and advice for example when it comes time to replace blades. Get detailed statistics regarding runtime, distances, charging time, performance alerts, and more.

GPS assisted navigation (PATENTED) - The onboard GPS system creates a map of your lawn including where the boundary and guide wires are installed. It also registers which area of your lawn it has covered and adjusts the mowing pattern accordingly to ensure optimised coverage of unmown area with a pleasing cutting result.

Husqvarna AIM Technology - This feature creates a virtual map of your lawn area which can be viewed on the app as well as the boundary or guide wires if applicable. The user can use the app to create work areas with different height settings or stay-out zones.

Automower® Access - The new Automower Access user interaction with high-resolution colour display, jog wheel, and status indicators provides an intuitive yet sophisticated way of controlling your mower. This integrates with the Automower® Connect app for a seamless user experience.

Accessory Port - The accessory port enables plug-in features and technology available in the NERA range. In this case the Husqvarna EPOS™ Plug-in kit which offers wire-free insallation for a customisable lawn.

Automower® X-Line - The X-Line is Husqvarna’s most fully featured range for top-of-the-line features. These include Automower® Connect with GPS theft tracking, GPS assisted navigation, LED headlights, front rubber bumper and X-Line body design.

Husqvarna EPOS™ Guidance - Automatically calculates the optimal route to and from the charging station without the need for a physical guide wire. It will vary the route taken to and from the charging station to avoid wheel tracks. Feature only available on NERA model with EPOS™ plug-in kit.

GPS Theft protection - Equipped with GPS tracking to trace the position of the mower to minimise the risk of theft. Notifications will be sent to your device via the app. You can set a GeoFence within your immediate property to control this.

FOTA - Firmware-Over-The-Air to easily make software updates through the App to enable new features or updates when available.

Frost guard - The robotic mower automatically interrupts the mowing schedule in frosty conditions to protect the lawn.

Weather timer - Adjusts the working time to the lawn’s rate of growth. The Automower® will maximise mowing time in periods of high grass growth. Late in the season or in dry conditions, the mower will spend less time mowing decreasing wear on the lawn and mower.

Automatic passage handling (PATENTED) - The Automower® will sense narrow passages and navigate its way through. It will vary its route through the passage to avoid leaving wheel tracks.

Target height - For improved lawn quality, Target Height lowers the cutting height automatically from MAX to a defined height over a 10-day period.

Spot cutting mode - A mode to quickly mow a limited area of longer grass. Especially useful for areas beneath garden furniture and other obstacles when moved. Simply place the mower in the desired area and choose spot cutting mode. The mower will resume cutting in tight spirals and when finished resume automatic mode.

Spiral cutting - Automatic cutting function to level grass height differences. The cutting disc sensors detect when the mower enters areas with longer grass and changes the cutting to a systematic spiral pattern.

Profiles - Create several profiles with individual settings making it easier to share the mower between numerous locations. This makes it easy to switch between different setups via the menu on the mower.

Electric height adjustment – PATENTED - Electric cutting height adjustment makes it convenient to set the desired height via the app remotely.

Cleaning - Easily wash the exterior and base of the mower with a garden hose. Removable top cover for further easy access.

Cutting system - Unique to the Automower®, it is equipped with 3 pivoting razor blades manufactured from strong carbon steel and mounted on a robust cutting disc. It is designed to cut a little, but frequently, providing efficient operation and very low energy consumption. The sharp blade cuts cleanly through the grass promoting a healthier lawn when compared to the duller action of heavy bar blades on petrol machines.

50% Slope capable - The large coarse-tread wheels provide excellent traction even if the surface is slippery. The mower will handle a slope angle of 50% going places many other petrol-powered options won’t. The patented non-fixed front axis increases the maneuverability and improves rougher terrain performance.

Weatherproof - Rated to IPX5 Automower® can be outside around the clock and is designed to function properly and unattended regardless of the weather. Built to withstand the harsh NZ climate without issue.
